Join one of our most popular multi day tours along Iceland’s south coast to discover the stunning unique natural Blue Ice cave, glaciers, lava fields, volcanoes, strong rivers and magic waterfalls.
After being picked up in Reykjavik in the morning, your next two days will be an unforgettable adventure exploring the many amazing natural wonders of the South Coast of Iceland.
On the first day, visits to the famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss are amongst the highlights but you also visit the less known but no less beautiful waterfalls of Gljufrabui, Kvernufoss and Irafoss. The black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its amazing surrounding area completes this exiting day.
After a good rest, your adventure continues the second day where you will visit the beautiful Skaftafell and walk on the Diamond Beach, an amazing black beach scattered with icebergs, next to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. The stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where huge icebergs float in ice cold water and seals swim around them.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to a natural ice cave in Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier. The ice in the cave is spectacularly blue and is a very popular attraction.

Setting out from Reykjavík, you will drive along route 1 passing through small towns and enjoying the beauty of the Icelandic countryside. Your first stop will be at the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is located beneath the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Remember to ask your tour guide all about the colossal eruption back in 2010. Close by is the beautiful but less known waterfall Gljufrabui.
Next up is the stunning Skogafoss, a drop of 60 m (200ft) of natural raw power that must be seen to be believed. You will then have the additional pleasure of visiting the secret waterfalls of Kvernufoss and Írafoss.
Then it is on to Reynisfjara, a black sand beach nestling under Mt. Reynisfjall – seasonal home to numerous puffins that dive from its cliffs out to sea. Black basalt has been shaped into amazing different formations, most notably the famous Reynisdrangar. Beware the might of the Atlantic Ocean which looms with its powerful waves.
At the end of the day, your accommodation awaits in a cozy country hotel. On the way there and during the night, we will look out for the Northern Lights if conditions are favourable to see them.
Today, you set off in the morning for a totally unique experience. A visit to a natural stunning Blue Ice cave will be the highlight of the day.
You start by driving to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. This famous lagoon is filled with huge chunks of ice that have cracked off Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float slowly out to sea. Some icebergs wash on shore, lying on the vivid black sand like diamonds on satin and from there, your Ice cave adventure will begin.
The ice caves only form in the winter when glacial water freezes to create this unique natural phenomenon. Each season, the local glacier experts find the best caves to visit in an enjoyable and safe way. From the glacier lagoon, they drive you through the best of Icelandic highlands in a special Super Jeep to the ice cave. There you will have about an hour to explore and enjoy the magical blue caves. Please do not forget to bring your camera!
After this unforgettable adventure, you drive back to the Jokulsarlon where you join the bus again. From there, you drive to the Skaftafell national park where the amazing views will take your breath away!
On the way back, you will of course be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of the South Coast and to make a quick stop in Vik village for some refreshments, while keeping an eye out for the Northern lights if conditions are right.

We had an enjoyable tour! The blue cave was amazing and the guide was super nice!! The views were so beautiful even the weather was not good enough, must go into the caves again!!
We had a great 2 day tour with Vilte! So much amazing nature to see, and with every stop he made sure we had enough time. He also took us to several extra places that were not in the original itinerary, but some were the highlights of the trip! After doing the Golden Circle tour right after this one, we were so grateful to have done this Southern tour as the sites were really quite unforgettable. This tour really made our Iceland experience amazing!
I was on the fence about booking an excursion because I usually prefer to explore on my own. But in Nov, with limited daylight and unpredictable weather conditions, this two-day excursion will ensure that you experience the absolute best from this gorgeous region. Our guide Johannes was helpful, warm, and knowlegable from beginning to end. Our group really bonded, and that can be attributed to the small group size, the comfortable riding conditions, and Johannes's boundless positive energy. I highly recommend this option for solo travelers. It's a great way to meet people while still having your own space. Based on this experience and another excursion I took to Sneafellnes, I sense that Nice is a company with a genuine love of Iceland, a commitment to sharing that enthusiasm with others, and a knack for satisfying the restless, poetic souls of fellow travelers.
I strongly recommend that for multi-day tours in the winter season, you should book with professional tour operators instead of driving yourself. I cannot say enough good things about our tour guide / driver, David. He was very energetic, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, and made sure we got the most out of our trip. On our first day we visited 4 waterfalls (including one secret one that required a short hike), lunch at the restaurant by Skogafoss waterfall, Eyjafallajokul volcano, rest-stop at Vik, a cliff view, and Reynisfjara black sand beach. We were given enough time to visit each location and David helped us stay on time to see all the important sites. We stayed at Hotel Gierland, which is one of the main reasons we chose this tour over the slightly cheaper one. The hotel provides private bathrooms, and has a fully stocked bar in their restaurant. That night we had the trifecta of 3 factors - a new moon, clear skies, and geomagnetic activity level 4 (of 10), so we were able to view a very good Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) show at around 11pm. Hotel Gierland is a great spot to view the lights. The next day David was informed by his HQ that there was a winter storm headed to Jokulsarlon, so he hustled us to get there in time for the Ice Cave tour, and quick stops for Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, before we made our escape. FYI we went in mid-November, and the Ice Cave was opened up to 30 meters or so. To go deeper into the cave, visit later in the winter when more of the waters inside have gone down. We escaped Jokulsarlon before the blizzard got worse, and on the way to Vik we experienced very strong winds of 20-25 m/s. I doubt I could have driven a rental car safely in those winds, but David handled the mini-bus like a pro. After our second stop at the Vik rest-stop, the storm had caught up to us and we were in white-out blizzard conditions with winds over 100mph. We saw several cars that had crashed off to the side of the road and had to be rescued. At one point we had to stop in an emergency road-side parking lot with other cars and rescue vehicles, as conditions were impossible to drive and there was a real danger of the mini-bus tipping over due to wind. There was a risk we would have to spend the night in the minibus until the storm passed, but David kept track of weather updates and found an opportune time to make a break for it after about 2 hours. We made it safely back to our Reykjavik hotels around 10pm. I highly doubt I could have seen all the sights and made it back safely if I had driven a rental car, and would likely have crashed the car or missed my flight the next day. David had experience driving tours in these conditions before, and kept us safe, on-time, entertained, and at-ease the whole time.
This is the best tour I had in Iceland! Our tour guide, Antonio and driver, Michał were friendly and very professional. Everywhere we ate was great and the hotel we stayed at was clean and tidy. Definitely recommend.
This was such an amazing and unforgettable trip! Our guide David was the best! He showed us the tourist spots as well as some secret spots along the way! David is very knowledgeable about He is the nicest guy and plays the best music on the bus! The hostel we stayed in was clean and welcoming! The staff are all super sweet! This trip is a must!
Nature in Iceland is so beautiful and this tour allowed us to see it under the best possible conditions. David, our guide, was knowledgeable and fun. He helped me to keep up and enjoy the trip in a thoughtful and enjoyable way. Hooray!
I have to say this is even better than I ever imagined. Adorable people, wonderful waterfalls, black beach and specially, the glacier and ice cave! Our driver and tour guide, David, took great care of us all in a bad weather, making it feel not so unbearable and this land so unforgetable. He showed perfect calmness and patience when my husband found he carelessly lost a bag, and helped us all the way around finding it back, can't thak enough for this.
This was, without a doubt, the best tour I have ever been on. Davide was knowledgeable, sociable and professional. Not even his red pants could take away from the simple truth: this is the best way to spend your time in Iceland.
This tour, with this company, is a must! Last summer I had done the South Coast tour and had seen the Glacier Lagoon before with another company. The only thing I wanted to see was the Blue Ice Cave, so I debated on whether or not I should do it. I am so glad I decided to go. Lucia was our tour guide and David was our driver. Both were very approachable, nice, professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Their main goal was to provide a positive experience and make sure you got your money’s worth. Literally everyone, including myself, kept saying throughout the 2 days ... “This tour is sooo great!” Or, “I’m so happy!" Since our group was small we were able to see a great deal. And to see the sights during the winter brought on a whole new dimension to the tour, especially the Northern Lights. All in all it was a fantastic, memorable experience! I will definitely use this company again.
Highly recommended tour. Davio our tour guide is the best. He takes us to privately places where only our group is there. We have enough time to shoot photos, explore the areas and appreciate the beauty of the place. I didnt expect this tour to be this crazy adventurous which is worth taking. Davio is a pretty skilled driver, we feel safe and comfortable during the whole time. Historic wise he was also able to share a piece of Iceland history to us.10 out of 10 stars, two thumbs up and high five for this guy. I would love to go back with this tour and request for him as the guide!
Our tourguide David is super fun and did take care of all of us. He tried to show all the beautiful places as much as he could. Even we managed to see the northern lights. Iceland is breathtaking and it was all because of nice travel with David! Thank you for all! Cheers~!
This tour was awesome and worth the price. It's small group tour and you are given ample time to go around. Our guide, David, was super fun and nice. He was very enthusiastic in sharing his knowledge about Iceland. Will definitely book with this company again!
Did a two day tour with David and I have to say it was the best part of Iceland. Went with my partner for our two year anniversary, we made friends with everyone on the tour with us and David our guide was friendly, informative, and really knows how to create a great tour. I HIGHLY recommend any tour he guides.
The tour guide was really nice and funny, and all the arrangements were very thoughtful. Had a great time and definitely will recommend this tour to friends and family.
Excellent Trip ans and very nice guider！Made many new friends！
This tour was a lot of fun and I had a great time! It's a fantastic way to see the most beautiful sights in the south of Iceland. Our tour guide, David, was the best! He was extremely knowledgeable about all the places we stopped and was a fun person and interesting to talk to. I highly recommend the tour and I hope to go on more tours with David in the future!
This tour was beautiful to say the least and the perfect amount of time to enjoy the sights. David was an amazing guide! He was so much fun to talk to and helped make the most of our tour even though the weather tried to put a damper on things. I definitely want to come back to do another tour with David in the future.
Amazing trip to see the wonders of the south coast! Tomasz and Michal really took very good care of us. I am especially appreciative because Nice Travel generously allowed me to to carry on the trip without extra cost despite a mistake in my booking made by another travel agency. Another example of the personal touch they wanted to achieve.
Fantastic trip in Iceland! Thanks to our perfect guide Antonio, we have seen gorgeous waterfall, glaciers, lagoons and ice cave, really attractive! It's also amazing to talk with him, who has been to more than 40 countries around the world! Really hope to meet him next time!
