After driving from Reykjavik towards the South Coast we make our first stop at one of the four beautiful waterfalls that we will discover today.
The waterfalls are called Gljufrabui, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss and the secret waterfall Kvernufoss. After making a stop where guests can buy lunch we drive up to the Solheimajokull glacier where we will go for a unique glacier walk in Solheimajokull which takes around 1,5 hours. Then we visit the black beach Reynisfjara where we will walk for a while along black beach under basalt clifs. The cliffs are home to countless puffins, kittiwake and fulmar, you can see them hunting for fishes taking off from nests. At the end of the day we drive to our accommodation for the night, a very nice country guesthouse near Seljalandsfoss.
Today, you will take a close look at majestic glaciers and lagoons. In the morning, we drive to the lovely village of Vik where we make a stop before heading on towards the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. On the way we make a short stop at the waterfall Foss a Sidu and stop in the National Park of Skaftafell where it is possible to buy lunch. The Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon is filled with huge chunks of ice which crack off of Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float slowly out to sea. Some icebergs wash on shore, lying on the vivid black sand like diamonds on satin around with the possibility of seeing seals swimming around and huge icebergs. After exploring the lagoon we head back to Reykjavik where we arrive around 21:30 (09:30pm).

Nice trip, but the mini-bus is quite small for full house. The most delightful part is the supper in the Nice Hostel, particularly the cheese cake is professional level. We are too old to fit the glacier walk and would be helpful if the duration for the glacier walk is shorter. The guides are helpful and friendly.
Unforgettable trip for me and my fiancee!Their guides are always willing to share their knowledge and take care everyone. Their own hotel is tidy and warm. I need to thank them indeed for their assistant on my propose during the trip.
Hi Evan, congratulations on your engagment, it was a pleasure and honor for us to help you with the planning.
All the best from Iceland
Really fantastic trip with our tour guide David! We saw a lot of waterfalls (including secret waterfallsssssss). The glacier hike was tired but really really great and wonderful. Thank you David for taking care of us and pay really special attention to me since I am a really bad hiker 😛 (walking like a penguin ...) It is important to have a well-trained and experienced tour guide and I believe we found the best one in this trip! I will definitely choose Nice Travel again in my next Iceland Trip 🙂
Just finished an 8 day trip to Iceland and this 2 day tour was the highlight. The sites were incredibly breathtaking, but on top of that our tour guide Antonio and driver David did a fantastic job of making sure that we had the best time possible through their care and attention to our needs throughout the trip. Antonio clearly has a passion for leading these tours as he wove together lessons in geology and Icelandic history throughout the entire trip, and he managed to do it in a way that was informative, interesting, and entertaining at the same time. The restaurant we were taken to for lunch on the first day and dinner on the second day served the best meals that we had our entire time in Iceland. I would whole heartily recommend this tour and the team of Antonio and David for your next visit to this area. You will not be disappointed.
i hv joined the two days tour on 12-13/5 in nice travel! NICE TRAVEL is reli nice! the driver, Robert (as well as the tour guide) was very nice and gentleman! he had done a gd job that i reli appreciated his work. He was much more better than other drivers that i met in other day tours in other larger companies.
Michael, driver@6-7/5, 2~day trip of Southern Iceland is a nice, friendly, helpful & caring guider who made my 1st visit in Iceland an awesome & incredible experience encouraging my next visit. He is not just professional in his safe driving service along the trip, but also in introducing either the historic or scenic places of Southern Iceland in an interesting & humorous way, which is entertaining & enjoying. His sincere smiles give me an impact & I appreciate his heartfelt gratitude & caring service along the trip. I do highly recommend Nicetravel & Michael himself to my friends & family when they are planning to visit Iceland.
