Join one of our most popular multi day tours along Iceland’s south coast to discover the stunning unique natural Blue Ice cave, glaciers, lava fields, volcanoes, strong rivers and magic waterfalls.
After being picked up in Reykjavik in the morning, your next two days will be an unforgettable adventure exploring the many amazing natural wonders of the South Coast of Iceland.
On the first day, visits to the famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss are amongst the highlights but you also visit the less known but no less beautiful waterfalls of Gljufrabui and Irafoss. The black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its amazing surrounding area completes this exiting day.
After a good rest in a cosy guesthouse, your adventure continues the second day where you will visit the beautiful Skaftafell and walk on the Diamond Beach, an amazing black beach scattered with icebergs, next to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. The stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where huge icebergs float in ice cold water and seals swim around them.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to a natural ice cave in Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier. The ice in the cave is spectacularly blue and is a very popular attraction.

Setting out from Reykjavík, you will drive along route 1 passing through small towns and enjoying the beauty of the Icelandic countryside. Your first stop will be at the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is located beneath the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Remember to ask your tour guide all about the colossal eruption back in 2010. Close by is the beautiful but less known waterfall Gljufrabui.
Next up is the stunning Skogafoss, a drop of 60 m (200ft) of natural raw power that must be seen to be believed. You will then have the additional pleasure of visiting the secret waterfalls of Kvernufoss and Írafoss.
Then it is on to Reynisfjara, a black sand beach nestling under Mt. Reynisfjall – seasonal home to numerous puffins that dive from its cliffs out to sea. Black basalt has been shaped into amazing different formations, most notably the famous Reynisdrangar. Beware the might of the Atlantic Ocean which looms with its powerful waves.
At the end of the day, your accommodation awaits in Seljaland, a lovely country guesthouse located in a beautiful spot close to Seljalandsfoss. On the way there and during the night, we will look out for the Northern Lights if conditions are favourable to see them.
Today, you set off in the morning for a totally unique experience. A visit to a natural stunning Blue Ice cave will be the highlight of the day. After a drive through the lovely village of Vik, you stop at the Skaftafell national park where the amazing views will take your breath away!
You then continue to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. This famous lagoon is filled with huge chunks of ice that have cracked off Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float slowly out to sea. Some icebergs wash on shore, lying on the vivid black sand like diamonds on satin and from there, your Ice cave adventure will begin.
The ice caves only form in the winter when glacial water freezes to create this unique natural phenomenon. Each season, the local glacier experts find the best caves to visit in an enjoyable and safe way. From the glacier lagoon, they drive you through the best of Icelandic highlands in a special Super Jeep to the ice cave. There you will have about an hour to explore and enjoy the magical blue caves. Please do not forget to bring your camera!
After this unforgettable adventure, you drive back to the Jokulsarlon where you join the bus again to head back to Reykjavik. On the way back, you will of course be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of the South Coast and to make a quick stop in Vik village for some refreshments, while keeping an eye out for the Northern lights if conditions are right.

Our tour guide, Skuli was excellent. He is very friendly, on time, and compassion. We stopped at a lot of beautiful places. The first day was the waterfalls day. Our tour guide took us to the private waterfalls, it is beautiful. Iceland is an amazing place even in the winter time. We spent a night at Hotel Anna. We had dinner there. You have to try the pork belly. It was fantastic. The best in their menu. The only thing that the disadvantage of this hotel is nobody there during the night, and there is the limit of hot water. The second day, we went to the black beach, the diamond beach, and ice cave. Our tour guide for ice cave is Ravnarr. He is unbelievable, funny and experience. Walking on the glacier and seeing ice cave is the one-lifetime experience. I have my daughters, aged 13 and 15 years old in this tour. It is so sad their children may not experience walking on the glacier due to global warming. On the way home, our tour guide, Skuli stopped the bus, and we saw the northern light. Although it is not intense, at least we experienced the northern light. Overall, this tour is a must. Travel in Iceland will not complete without this tour. For Skuli and Ravnarr ( I apologize if I spelled it wrong) thank you so much. Welldone 🙂
The weather was beautiful, and top of everything our tour guide was amazing. He even stopped at additional places for us to appreciate the view of the glaciers for a few minutes. His excitement and pride was infectious, and his kind and informative explanations were really great. He even dropped us off at the doorstep of our airbnb at our request. Amazing, amazing tour. The hostel was really beautiful too, with a delicious fresh breakfast spread. It couldn't have been better!
Driver is very friendly.
The bus is too cramp especially for winter season when everyone is wearing such thick jackets. It was also very stuffy and had poor ventilation. Overall the places we went to were very beautiful despite the very miserable weather on the first day. However we feel that it was a very rushed trip and we did not have enough time to fully enjoy the sights. Driver could have been more engaging.
It was a very nice tour, beatiful music, friendly guide, amazing views. Even though we did't go to ice cave due to the weather, Michal still try to help us and change to ice hiking that day! I have to say the glacier is also very fantastic.
My husband and I booked this 2 day tour as part of a longer week in Iceland and I am so glad we did as it was far and away the peak of our trip. We were very fortunate to have extraordinarily calm weather for the time of year - no rain and little to no wind in late November - so were able to enjoy the beautiful waterfalls, lava fields, mountains, volcanoes and glaciers to the fullest, clambering over and up rocks to reach certain areas - certainly more interactive than I expected (in a good way)! Obviously this is at the discretion of the guide based on the prevailing conditions. Speaking of, I have to give a special mention to our guide, Andrea. Not only was he very knowledgeable and informative, offering interesting little tidbits about the landscape, geology and history here and there en route, but he was also extraordinarily kind and accommodating towards my mobility-limited husband (whose mobility was seriously aided by some shoe spikes and an ice pick for his walking stick, it's worth noting, for those in the same boat). There were a few moments where my husband needed a little helping hand and while I was, of course, more than prepared to do this myself, Andrea went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that he was safe and comfortable without holding the others up. It wasn't his responsibility to do that and yet he was very caring whilst making sure that everyone else continued to be looked after properly and was having a good time. That really struck a chord for me. Not only that but he was very friendly and approachable in general. The accommodation in Vik was also really warm and homely, and the bus itself was far more comfortable than you expect from a long bus journey! The ice cave tour was, as you might imagine, spectacular, further enhanced by the wry humour of our fantastic glacier guide Ragnar. Honestly, this whole experience was absolutely worth the time and investment and I would wholeheartedly recommend both the tour operator and the experience to anyone.
The weather was not good as expected. It had been raining and super windy in these two-day tour. Because of safety reason, eventually my most looking-forward activity - Ice Cave was cancelled. But I would say the tour guide, Nicola is very professional and caring all the time. She managed to drive for nearly 10-hour in the windy and rainy day. Iceland is really beautiful and a must place to visit in a lifetime!
The sights were breathtaking and will be remembered for a lifetime, so first and foremost, YES, try to see these sights during your trip to Iceland. We had really high hopes after reading reviews about funny and engaging tour guides for a well-rounded tour experience. Our tour guide was helpful and informative one-in-one but seemed reluctant to address the group, so we did not really learn anything about what we were seeing and it felt more like a shuttle than a tour. The bus was extremely cold and all of us aboard wore our hats gloves and mittens both days. We paid $300 extra for this tour bc of it’s nicer accommodations than another 2 day tour but still stayed in a shared toilets, shared shower hostel but we did have have a private bedroom. The hostel had two single beds pushed together to make a double. The hostel had great food and ambiance. We didn’t receive the boots we paid for and had very limited time to see the waterfalls. I understand the necessity of capturing daylight, but we spent far longer at the restaurant than was needed and did not have enough time at Skogafoss so it was like we had to run to snap a picture and run back.In summary, it was the memorable trip of a lifetime to see such surreal beauty, but it was cold, isolated and rushed on much of the tour.
Michael was the most sincere, genuine tour guides I have ever experienced. I had such an amazing time and recommend this tour for every single person who is interested. Everything was worth the money and you see sights that are unforgettable. We went during the low season of tourists, so most of the locations were not busy and we could really embrace being with nature, and getting to know Michael and the people we traveled with in the group. Highlight was seeing the ponies and petting them and the ice caves (You might be able to ask your guide to pull over to the farms they know to pet them). Will definitely be back to Iceland because of the wonderful experience I had.
The tour guide is very amiable and funny. But I am very sorry, I still can't remember your name. He is very patient, responsible and the restaurant he introduced is very good.He will remind you of the small details that you should pay attention to during your trip, and will send you to your doorstep after the trip. Thank you very much. Thank you.
Look around me in any direction I found indescribable beauty. That's for each moment in thiese 2 days. I can only say THANKS!
So glad we took the ice cave 2 day tour. By the end of the first day it was well worth the cost! So much seen and done. Black diamond beach and ice caving were amazing and the waterfalls unbelievable. We stayed at the hotel Anna which was y far the best hotel we stayed in all trip. Our guide Andreas was a great host and very friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t recommend this more!
Our guide Andrea, was well-informed and supplied is with detailed information about the geology and history of the area we traveled through. He had a good sense of humor, patience, and a wealth of knowledge about Iceland. Our small group of 12 was a perfect size so that there was never a ridiculous amount of time spent transitioning from one activity tothe next. The tour schedule kept us moving so that we visited quite a few sites and never had an uncomfortably long stretch of driving. Our lodging overnight near Vik was split between a hostel and Hotel Anna. My husband and I stayed at the hotel, which was cozy and charming, and has an excellent, though expensive, restaurant for dinner and a bounteous breakfast buffet which was included. On day 2, the diamond beach and ice lagoon were surreally beautiful. The crazy roller coaster ride to and on top of the glacier to see the ice caves was great- definitely worth it to experience such a remote geography. Two thumbs up for our tour!
Our tour guide was David. He is so informative, dynamic, lively, and so friendly to all of us. He made our trip memorable. The tour was great and the itinerary was complete for us. David knows what we need and what we want as a tourist. He put a lot of effort to meet our needs such as search northern light for us and drop us to a famous hot dog stall in Reykjavik even it is not included in our itinerary. It was so amazing and pleasant journey with him. He drove the bus so well and so smooth, and being so kind and helpful throughout the day. The ice cave a bit disappointed because it was not the cave that you saw on this site. The cave is just grey and has a lot of snow in it. The blue part just a little bit and not so impressive as seen on the picture. I was great experience, but just the cave that disappoint us. Thank you david for taking us around iceland. You are our great tour guide
David is an awesome diver . He has given us the best tour . He told us everything about Iceland . We enjoy a lot .
More than one week ago we were looking forward to discover Iceland on this tour. And we were not disappointed! The first day standing in the cold water behind a waterfall, feeling the strengh of the water and listening to the waves of the beautiful black beach highlighted on the glaciers on the second day... what an awesome, beautiful, amazing and interesting place on earth! Our tourguide David has contributed a great deal to make this tour to a highlight of our Iceland holidays! His enthusiasm for this nature was great and contagious! And as if it had not been enough already, at least we had the opportunity to see the northern lights dancing above us shortly before arriving home in Reykjavik. David managed to find a hole in the thick clouds. Thanks David! :)It was absolutly an awesome trip!Dagmar & Edith
Nice Travel basically saved our trip to Iceland. We got stock in a very bad weather and we couldn׳t drive. We book with Nice Travel 2 day trip to JOKULSARLON and other attractions. The person I spoked with on the phone was very informative and answered every question I had and even managed to book us for the next day and pick us up from road number 1 and not from Reykjavik.Out tour guide was Ross. He was very friendly and professional with various knowledge about Iceland. Every stop we made he explained about the place and gave us useful informations and some "fun facts" about it. During our trip he managed to show us some "Secret" places around the road(the secret cave with the waterfall was amazing!).On the way back we even saw the aurora borealis :)Thanks for the most wonderful trip!
even tho our ice cave tour been cancelled but i must say michael (mika) is a very friendly and genuine tour guide who is fun and resourceful and also full of passion for his job he is more than just a tour guide after touring with him for 2 days in iceland. Mika has boundless knowledge of all things oh well basically EVERYTHING about iceland he's also a lover of travel himself so you can ask him anything more than just iceland highly recommended and would defo coming back to him if i ever visit iceland again one day 🙂
Going as a group of six, we had a tremendous time on this trip, seeing some absolutely stunning landscapes , learning about some fascinating stories regarding Iceland and its history, and striking up a strong bond with our tour guide and driver, Michal. He was the consummate professional in his knowledge, attentiveness, consideration, and experience, even going so far as to take us to some hidden nooks and crannies on the tour to ensure that our tour was as personalised and unique from the other tours available. His amiable nature, and welcoming attitude made us all feel relaxed, happy, and satisfied.Above all, on the second night, disaster struck and we could not return to Reykjavik due to a strong storm. Nice Travel were top-class in having a Plan B ready for us, and Michal was most warm in checking-in on us individually to ensure we were comfortable with the plans, as well as helping to reschedule everybody else's plans for the next days. Therefore, whilst you can probably find cheaper tours elsewhere, this tour is worth every penny, providing you with great value for mone. You get a personalised experience in a small tour group, have the flexibility to spend a bit longer in some areas, and even have the opportunity to see some secret sights. Oh, and if you have Michal as your tour guide, you're in for a treat - such a lovely bloke! 🙂
We had a wonderful and memorable experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept our safety in mind at all times.A trip for anyone that loves geology and our wonderfully diverse ecosystems on earth!
We had a great 2 day tour with Vilte! So much amazing nature to see, and with every stop he made sure we had enough time. He also took us to several extra places that were not in the original itinerary, but some were the highlights of the trip! After doing the Golden Circle tour right after this one, we were so grateful to have done this Southern tour as the sites were really quite unforgettable. This tour really made our Iceland experience amazing!
The tour is great, saw lot of waterfalls and glaciers but never felt too much. Our tour guide Valti was very nice. The hostel is great, not very clouded, the rooms are clean. Breakfast is great too. I would recommend this tour.
we tried the 2days ice cave tour and it was really well organised enough to see the breathtaking nature of the iceland. Most of all, i'm sincerely moved with our tour guide (Mike)'s kindness and consideration. He is not the one who explains and talks all the time during the travel but he is the one who cares every single members of our tour. There was a girl who went travel alone, Mike always tried to talk to her and made her feel not alone :)He told me that he doesn't regret chaning his job as tour guide and i certainly can say that he made a right choice 🙂 thank you Mike!! you made our travel!! P.S i will use this company next time if i visited Iceland next year!!
Our second day was sunny and we went to skaftfell to see the sunrise. It was really unforgettable. Our tour guide is Luise, a reaaaally funny Italian girl. She told us many interesting story about Iceland. Our driver is David, also reaaaally funny and nice. I will come back Iceland in a summer! Wait for me lol!
The guide is pretty pretty nice. Lu has the great knowledge about Iceland and she could introduce a lot to us. On top of this, the driver is pretty nice as well. I really enjoy the trip and will memorize it forever. Super recommended!
We were given enough time at each stop. Our tour guide, Valti was very attentive and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip.
This tour was by far the best part of my trip to Iceland. Our guides were fantastic! They knew all kinds of interesting facts about what we were seeing and Iceland in general. They took us to some secret spots in addition to the main tourist attractions. I loved that this was a small group tour. Our driver, David, could take us places the big tour buses could not go. This tour combines so many wonderful things all in one. I can't speak highly enough of this tour, our guides and the company in general.
The tour was excellent! We did the 2 day, 1 night tour from Reyjkavik to Jokulsarlon glacier. The trip far exceeded our expectations. The natural beauty of the area was breathtaking. I am so thankful that we took the time to go out to the glacier and see diamond beach, ice caves, and icebergs. Our tour guide David was EXCELLENT! He really went above and beyond for everyone in our tour group and really made the tour extraordinary. We stopped on the way back to the city to see the northern lights. Although we'd already seen them, many in our group REALLY wanted to see them and we saw a spectacular light show. I am so glad we stopped. David then took anyone who wanted a hot dog into the city and stopped at the infamous hot dog stand that Bill Clinton visited as well. It was already late, the tour was over, and he had a family to go home to but he truly wanted us to have a great and full trip, so he made all of us visitors saw/ate everything they wanted.
Had a wonderful tour with nicetravel. Our guide was knowleadge and explained to us a lot about Iceland and the culture. We had an awesome trip for the two days with the tour group. The accommodation despite being a hostel is well kept and very clean. Ice caving experience was very good. Nicetravel has been really accommodating with my requests and answers all my quiries promptly. They even helped out to suggest my proposal plan and the proposal went well as per planned in blue ice cave. The tour guide helped out to capture all the moments with his DSLR. In future when I visit Iceland again, will surely book again the tour group
Hi Kesavan, we are really happy to have been part of your big day and wish you and your fiancee all the best. Congratulations from all of us in Team NICE 🙂
David is a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide who planned the journey very well so we could make good use of the sunlight and spend enough time in every spots. He explained the natural phenomenon in details and booked a decent restaurant for us to have lunch together. The hotel is clean and cozy with nice breakfast provided. I advised everyone should finish watching Game of Thrones before joining this trip as David will try to tell you some spoilers when we visited some place where GOT was filmed (although he didn't do so at last :D)If you want to have a pleasant and fun tour in Iceland, David will be your best companion and tour guide!!
Our tour to South Beaches, Jokulsarlon was spectacular. Our guide Antonio Perez and our driver David were very kind, informative, helpful and dynamic. The accommodations were cozy, clean and comfortable. The views of the landscapes, falls and countryside are breathtaking. I totally recommend this tour!
Had an amazing experience! The landscape and sights of Iceland is amazing! Would definitely recommend this tour. Our guide Thomas was patient and pretty humorous which made for a rather entertaining trip. He also brought us on an adventure to a secret waterfall which was well worth the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the ice cave experience and the glacier lagoon. They were so breathtaking! Accommodation was cozy and clean. The two pitstops for lunch were also pretty good. One of which had an amazing backdrop of a waterfall. Would definitely want to visit again!
We saw the most spectacular scenes during this 2 days tour. Our guide David is very very gentle and knowledgeable person. He makes sure we were on schedule. Our van had 13 ladies, sometimes we took lots of pictures and running out of time. David was always very kindly pushing us and patient.During the evening we stayed in hostel, very clean and cozy. According to the report we would be able to see the northern light. So our guide David was waiting outside to check and informs us. We were very lucky to capture the northern light. The second night on our way home, there was a huge northern light explosion. So we stopped and take pictures for an additional 30 minutes at least.
It was the greatest journey we have in Iceland! Wonderful and magnificent views!Thank you so much Antonio Perez and the driver (oops I forgotten how to spell his name) from Poland for brought us to see so many stunning spots. Thanks god we have you as our tour guide !!!We're greatly appreciated !!nicetravel.is do not lose out Antonio Perez!! He is truly Gems to your good company! He is gifted and talented on what he did best!!Thanks once again through out the 2 days tour!
What a wonderful trip during this 2 days tour. So many beautiful places. We were lucky to have Antonio as our guide. A really great men, friendly and so helpful, sharing his passion and experience. Hope to come back so much
I really enjoyed this tour. It was unforgettable moment in my life. Finding hidden waterfalls was super exciting and wonderful experience and the scenery was magnificent. The tour guide, Antonio was passionate, funny, and friendly. He is definitely a great tour guide so you can trust him. I love all the attractions we visited and the experience I had. I already miss them so much!
We did have a wonderful experience in this 2 day tour, highly recommend 🙂 Our guide, Antonio, is really professional, kind, and always fulls of passion!! He introduced us lots of histories and stories, the most important thing is that he knows lots amazing views and how to take perfect photos XD Really had a great time in iceland!!
This tour was fantastic. It was a small group tour which allowed a more flexible schedule and personal attention from the tour guide. Our guide Antonio who was professional, knowledgeable, passionate, friendly and helpful. We asked him about Aurora and he shared lots of useful information with us even we didn't have chance to see it during the trip. We did had a great experience within 2 days. Thanks Antonio for creating such best memory for us. I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends!
This was a fantastic tour!! I'm so glad we went with this tour company over one that packs a bus with 40+ people. We had a small group of 11 people that allowed for a more relaxed schedule and personal attention from the guide. Speaking of - our guide, Lou, was absolutely incredible. She was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, accommodating, and extremely helpful. It turns out that I'm not the person you want next to you when hiking on ice, and Lou literally held my hand and helped me through it. We also got to see some spots that aren't shown on most other tours. Our driver, David, was also great. The hostel was very nice as well. I was expected shared bathrooms, but we had our own bathroom and shower. Our window offered a great view of the light show as well. We were fortunate enough to see a great display of dancing, colorful lights. We were also able to go into the ice cave, which apparently was not the case for others groups last months.I cannot recommend this tour enough. Book it - you won't regret it!
Great tour! Day 1 has the first few stops hitting a high amount of foot traffic with other tour groups visiting the same spots, but the secret waterfall stop made up for that in spades, great little find!!! The nights stay at the NiceHostel was great, cosy little place with complimentary soup and breakfast (although, a small negative here is that it's in Seljaland, the opposite direction to the next day's activities at Vantajokull, which means a lot of travel time on the next day). There were areas close by that night without cloud cover, but we weren't offered a northern lights hunt, possibly due to other factors. Day 2 kicked off with some fantastic weather, and made for some AMAZING vistas of the glaciers, lagoon and diamond beach. We were extremely lucky to have the ice caves open, though could only go in about 10m due to the high water. Spectacular nonetheless. The super-van driver was very entertaining, taking us on a spin ON the glacier in the van. All in all, our tour driver and guide were fantastically knowledgable and enthusiastic, making the most of the tour despite the weather conditions, and the tour was kept on schedule throughout the duration. Waterproof attire is a MUST to enjoy yourself, top and bottom. We saw many absolutely miserable people soaked to the bone wearing jeans and sneakers and similar inappropriate gear. Five Star experience.
We experienced it so wonderful. Beautiful scenery, clear air & water, friend's smile,,, It was the best memory for me. I'm looking forward to go Iceland again. Thank you Iceland !!!
This tour was fantastic. We unfortunately had quite a bit of rain but it was still amazing - just make sure you bring a rain jacket, not just a snow jacket like we did! The waterfalls were spectacular and this tour took you to otherwise inaccessible ones. The glacier is truly stunning as is the lagoon. We travelled in a small intimate group of 13 people. The hostel is run by the tour company and is clean and comfortable. We had an amazing tour guide, Antonio. He was passionate, funny and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience.
Spending my birthday on this tour with amazing guide Antonio was the best decision! He showed us hidden places that are surely less crowded or not touristic at all. He did go extra to satisfy us and tried to make our day special in Iceland. we couldn't try ice caving because of constant rain couple of days before our tour, but we were able to walk on the glaciers and go inside of the black cave. We stayed in hotel Geirland. Its pretty small but feel so cozy with beautiful scenery. Overall I do recommend you to go for this tour especially with guide Antonio!
I have a fantastic time! The difficult part about booking this trip, is that everything is weather dependent and therefore, out of the control of the tour company. In terms of what lies within their control, everything was great. The pick-up was on time, the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the team was pretty good about getting the group to stay on schedule. In terms of my trip, I was really delighted to have Ulfur as a guide. I was a solo traveler and probably asked him too many questions, but he entertained them and shared a lot of interesting information about the sights and Icelandic history/culture/current shifts, etc. I was most eager to see the blue ice cave, which we were fortunately able to do. I think they were flooded for some days prior and had just opened up, so we were quite lucky. It was beautiful, but even though this was my main motivation for booking this tour, it did not end up being the highlight. For me, the best part was actually a stop at a glacier (not glacier lagoon) for sunrise on the second day. There were no other tour companies and the view was absolutely stunning. I had a moment where I just felt complete and wanted to stay there forever. Being able to experience that made the entire trip worth it. (And I was a little bummed about all the rain the day before, so this was a great stroke of luck.)Overall, I would absolutely book with this tour company again. I had such a great experience and every time I reminisce about the few days I had in Iceland, I enter back into this dream-like place. I undoubtedly will be back to explore some more in the future. See you then!
We really enjoyed this tour! We traveled 3 days ago and despite the very cold and rainy weather we had a lovely time. The waterfalls are very nice, the black sand beach is super beautiful and the glacier is quite an experience... we couldn't get inside the blue cave because of the weather but we could get inside an small black cave and also walk on the glacier. Our guide was Anika and she was very kind with us the whole time. The hostel was great, very comfortable and excellent food.
first, Arnar and Einor, our tour captains are very caring and friendly icelandic people. We were shown to the 5 waterfalls, 2 beaches, ice lagoon, ice cave, glaicer and many coffee stops. We were driven through the beautiful coastline smoothly in rain, gust, snow, ice, dust storm, and sunshine in a day.I would enjoy the walk better if I have packed waterproof boot up to ankle, raincoat, small plastic bag to waterproof my camera and ice grippers. But I get on without them.My friend had good fun, but just wish for more time in blue ice cave because it is beautiful, but I think it is out of control by our captains as another ice cave guide control the time.overall, it is very satisfying.
Amazing. Our tour guides Antonio and Michael did a great job of getting us safely to all our destination. I really debated renting a car or taking a tour, but in the end seeing the way the weather was I am glad to have Michael driving and I am sure I would not have seen many of the waterfalls and glaciers on my own. Antonio passion and knowledge of the area clearly came through during our many stops. We saw 4 waterfalls the first day. 2 famous ones and 2 that are hidden and you have to hike a little bit for. Then we stayed in a very comfortable and clean guest house. The staff there were also excellent. They serve soup and bread complimentary, but pizza is available for purchase. Breakfast is also complimentary. The next day it had snowed heavily, again very glad I had a experienced driver. We went to the glacier and Crystal Cave. Stunningly beautiful. Antonio explained the local volcano and the history of eruptions last on grounded planes traffic because of the ash and gas plume. We stopped and saw the frozen lake where Game of thrones shot the Wilding fort when the White walkers attacked and John Snow narrowly escaped. (it was January at the time of my visit). The sun had come out by this time and we went to the Black Beach. Watch out for those waves, but beautiful to see. There is a giant Balsam columns cave there. Then on to the glacier lagoon and diamondhead beach. Shockly beautiful. An experienced you will never forget. This is the highlight of my entire trip to Iceland and not to be missed. We stopped for lunch, the one last upclose look at the glacier and short hike. Then we returned to Reykjavik. I can't Thank Nicetravels, Antonio and Michael enough for a wonderful 2 days.
Iceland is by far the most spectacular country I've ever been. I had a really fab time during 3 tour trip via NiceTravel. The 2-day tour trip including blue ice cave and glacier walk is far more amazing. Ros is our driver and Antonio is the tour guide. Both of them have accompanied us for a nice period. Antonio is considerable and humorous. He insures that everyone is safe and makes the trip full of fun. During the night he also guided us to watch the northern light and the next day we are so lucky to see the rare "mother of pearls ". It's a really fantastic traveling experience.
Driver David and guide Jaka are really nice to us. First day we had 9 members in the team and next day reduced to 7 because the couple only attended 1 day tour. It was nice during the whole trip, Jaka told us a lot of stories of Iceland, made me feel like this was also a study tour. Lol
