Join one of our most popular multi day tours – 3 day tour to the Golden Circle and along Iceland’s south coast to discover the stunning unique natural Blue Ice cave, glaciers, lava fields, hot springs, volcanoes, strong rivers and magic waterfalls.
After being picked up in Reykjavik in the morning, your next three days will be an unforgettable adventure exploring the many amazing natural wonders of the South Coast of Iceland.
The Golden Circle, which encompasses three of the most popular attractions in Iceland, is first on the agenda. The beauty of Thingvellir, the magic of Geysir hot spring and the raw power of Gullfoss waterfall will create an unforgettable experience. In addition, you will also visit the Kerid volcanic crater to cap off an amazing day of beautiful sights.
On the second day, visits to the famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss are amongst the highlights but you also visit the less known but no less beautiful waterfalls of Gljufrabui, Kvernufoss and Irafoss. The black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its amazing surrounding area completes this exiting day.
After a good rest, your adventure continues the third day where you will visit the beautiful Skaftafell and walk on the Diamond Beach, an amazing black beach scattered with icebergs, next to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. The stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where huge icebergs float in ice cold water and seals swim around them.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to a natural ice cave in Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier. The ice in the cave is spectacularly blue and is a very popular attraction.

Setting out from Reykjavík on the Golden circle route, first you’ll delve into the mysteries of Þingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One thousand years ago, Viking lords stood in this valley to declare the law, make alliances and settle their nastiest feuds. You can also see the beauty of the natural environment here, from the gorge which marks the edges of the Mid-Atlantic Rift to fissures filled with sparkling water to Lake Þingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland.
This is the meeting point of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, which have spread so far apart that it is possible to stroll directly between them. It is a nice feeling to stand with your right foot in Europe and the left one in America!
The next stop features the biggest geysers found in the Haukadalur valley; Strokkur and Geysir. You’ll visit Geysir geothermal area, named for the sleeping giant Geysir, which has been entertaining onlookers for more than 1,000 years with jets of boiling hot water shooting high in the sky. Though Geysir sometimes goes inactive for years at a time, as he is now, Strokkur still likes to put on a dazzling display, blasting water as high as 40 m (131 ft).
Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, is next. This is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland. Powered by pure glacial runoff, water shoots along the two-tiered falls before plunging into the canyon far below.
Finally, to add something unique to your experience, you will also visit the big volcanic crater called Kerið. The volcanic crater is impressive by itself, but nestled deep in the bottom is a pure turquoise lake, contrasting with the striking red-and-black walls of the crater.
At the end of the day, your accommodation awaits in Seljaland, a lovely country guesthouse located in a beautiful spot close to Seljalandsfoss
After a good night’s rest, your first stop today will be at the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is located beneath the famous Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Remember to ask your tour guide all about the colossal eruption back in 2010. Close by is the beautiful but less known waterfall Gljufrabui which you will also visit.
Next up is the stunning Skogafoss, a drop of 60 m (200ft) of natural raw power that must be seen to be believed. You will then have the additional pleasure of visiting the secret waterfalls of Kvernufoss and Írafoss.
Then it is on to Reynisfjara, a black sand beach nestling under Mt. Reynisfjall – seasonal home to numerous puffins that dive from its cliffs out to sea. Black basalt has been shaped into amazing different formations, most notably the famous Reynisdrangar. Beware the might of the Atlantic Ocean which looms with its powerful waves.
At the end of the day, you return to your accommodation in Seljaland. On the way there and during the night, we will look out for the Northern Lights if conditions are favorable to see them.
Today, you set off in the morning for a totally unique experience. A visit to a natural stunning Blue Ice cave will be the highlight of the day. After a drive through the lovely village of Vik, you stop at the Skaftafell national park where the amazing views will take your breath away!
You then continue to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. This famous lagoon is filled with huge chunks of ice that have cracked off Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float slowly out to sea. Some icebergs wash on shore, lying on the vivid black sand like diamonds on satin and from there, your Ice cave adventure will begin.
The ice caves only form in the winter when glacial water freezes to create this unique natural phenomenon. Each season, the local glacier experts find the best caves to visit in an enjoyable and safe way. From the glacier lagoon, they drive you through the best of Icelandic highlands in a special Super Jeep to the ice cave. There you will have about an hour to explore and enjoy the magical blue caves. Please do not forget to bring your camera!
After this unforgettable adventure, you drive back to the Jokulsarlon where you join the bus again to head back to Reykjavik. On the way back, you will of course be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of the South Coast and to make a quick stop in Vik village for some refreshments, while keeping an eye out for the Northern lights if conditions are right.

The tour was much more than we expected. It turned out great and definitely was the best decision for us. The tour allows you to see and experience a lot of Iceland's natural beauties. On top of that, the tour guides (we had two, one for the 1st day and one for the 2nd and 3rd day) have the expertise when it comes to driving safely along the roads. We experienced snow, ice, and wind that seemed it would blow the bus off the road, but both guides handled it well. Lastly, the tour guides were informative about Iceland demographics, history, and cultural significance of areas. Lastly, the tour let us stay in other parts of the South. All accommodations were so clean and the breakfast was always amazing. I highly recommend taking the 3 day tour.
Everything was well organized, we had the great time with the tour. You will see the most important attractions in these there days, it was very worth it to selected Nice Travel. The service was very impressed, our proffersional driver and guide Mr. Guiseppe was very knowledgeable and well take care of everyone in our group as he were very patients to helping us with all needs or problems, and he tried his best to offered the best moment for our journey with his heart, it makes us felt so warm. We won't have such great experience without Mr. Giuseppe's proffersional and attentively service. The accommodation was very warm, it just simply a home away from home, and they offers all day coffee free!I will not hesitate to select Nice travel again for other tours if I return one day.
This is a very thoughtful designed tour. We had sufficient time in every location, and every wonder is just awe inspiring. Our guide Johannes is a very knowledgeable, insightful and a responsible driver, (incredible tenor as well).. We felt very safe in his car despite strong wind and icy road condition. He took great care of each person, and kept reminding us of icy trail condition. I fell badly and he would constantly check if I was ok, very considerate. On our way back to Reykjavik, Johannes tried three times finding the best spot for Northern Light. Glacier/Ice Cave guide Thor was wonderful too. Together they sang a traditional Iceland folksong for us! Accommodations are very comfortable. Unforgettable journey!! Wifi on bus allowed me to check my work and shared stunning images with family.
The tour and the attractions were amazing especially on the third day that the sunshine weather and blue sky painted the beautiful color on the amazing mother nature of Iceland. Thanks to the tour guides (the guy of Nice Travel and the guy who brought us to the ice cave) were very nice and very helpful, we would be able to see the huge amazing crystal ice cave and the beautiful Northern light before we finished the tour in such wonderful country.
The trip was wonderful and amazing with a great guide. we even manage to visit some extra place which has not been mentioned in the itinerary. Highly recommended!! If I planned to visit Iceland one more time, I would choose nice travel again!
The trip is awesome and totally worth it as the schedule is very nice and we indeed visited all important attractions! Also our tour guide is very enthusiastic and willing to show us the best view, he bring us inside the hidden waterfall even his shoes is not waterproof as he just want to show us the best view!!! This is my best trip ever!!! Highly recommend
无可挑剔，美女帅哥导游都很贴心，特别珍贵的就是能看到和大部分旅客看到的不同的“私人”景点，人少而且美丽。没想到能看到极光，纯属好运吧。总之，这个团你值得拥有。Great thanks to all the stuffs who have given me such a nice holiday in iceland! Hope to see you again!
The trip was absolutely amazing! Steinar is our guide and driver for the first day trip to golden circle and Antonio is our guide for the rest two days to 5waterfalls, black beach, glacier lagoon and ice caves. They are both nice and caring people, not only tried to guide us to explore the fabulous places, but also introduced the history and economy of Iceland, which made the trip more interesting. The guest house was also nice and cozy, it's a pity about the bad weather, otherwise might have the chance to hunt for the green lights. Everything in Iceland is purely natural. It's definitely an unforgettable journey!
