During these three days you will also visit magic waterfalls, the Black Beach of Reynisfjara , and the stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is where huge icebergs float in ice cold water and seals swim around them next to the Diamond Beach.

The highlights of the tour are a boat tour in Jokulsarlon the glacier lagoon in front of the biggest glacier in Europe which is located in the most amazing National park in Iceland AND a Glacier hike on blue ice in Solheimajokull . Our glacier guides are professionals and they will provide you all safety equipment needed for the Glacier Hike (crampons, ice axes, etc) and teach you how to use them in a correct way.

The scenery and views from the Glacier is stunning and you see ice sculptures and the deep crevasses of the glacier in a very clear way.

If you want to witness one of Iceland’s most incredible natural phenomenon, then you should book this tour now. There is an extremely limited availability for this unique tour.

Day 1 – The classic Golden Circle and the Kerid Volcanic Crater

The Golden circle is the most popular destination in Iceland. Geysers, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir are a must see for any visitor to our island.

We want to add something unique to your experience and that´s why we will also visit the big volcanic crater called Kerid. The crater is 270 m wide and more than 55 m deep. There is a lake in the bottom of the crater which gives it a little bit of magic. The lake is almost 14 m deep.

Thingvellir National park is the National shire of all Icelanders. It lies within the belt of volcanic activity and fissures which pass across Iceland, a part of the mid-Atlantic ridge, the junction of the american and Eurasian tectonic plates. It is a nice feeling to stand with your right foot in Europe and the left one in America.

Geysir – the biggest geysers of Haukadalur are Strokkur and Geysir itself, which gives the others their name. Strokkur erups every 5 to 10 minutes, throwing a column of water into the air to a height of 20 to 30 meters.

Gullfoss is one of the most amazing waterfalls in Iceland.

We will stay over night in a cozy guesthouse very near to the great waterfall Seljalandsfoss

Day 2 – South Coast, Waterfalls and Glacier Hike

We start with visiting the two great waterfalls of the south coast, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, as well as visiting lesser known, more secret waterfalls Glufrabui and Irafoss. We make a stop where guests can buy lunch.

As we continue we will drive under the great Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano and the Mýrdalsjökull glacier cap, where we take a Glacier Hike for about 1,5 hours and have a closer look at the Solheimajokull glacier.

A bit further is the great Reynisfjara beach, where the sea crashes upon black sands and hexagonal basalt columns and rock stacks tower over the surroundings.

We will be staying again overnight in a Nicehostel Seljalands, a very cosy accommodation close to the famous Seljalandsfoss.

Day 3 – The amazing Glacier lagoon and Skaftafell National park

Today, you will take a close look at majestic glaciers and lagoons. After a stop in the lovely village of Vik we drive to the East where we visit the waterfall Foss á Sidu and the National park in Skaftafell where we make a stop where guests can buy lunch.

Then we head to the amazing Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon where you will have a boat tour, sailing on the lagoon. The lagoon is full of huge chunks of ice which crack off Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float slowly out to sea. Some icebergs wash on shore, lying on the vivid black sand like diamonds on satin. There is a good possibility of seeing seals swimming around the huge icebergs.

After enjoying this wonderful experience we head back in the afternoon towards Reykjavik where we estimate to arrive around 21:15 (09:15pm).

Such a wonderful tour experience

Everything is great! Every staff member of Nice Travel was friendly and thoughtful!

Amazing adventure with Christina

A great intro to our 12 day adventure in Iceland. Cristina was the amazing guide - striking the perfect balance between information, unhurried site visits, entertainment and respite. She even dropped us at our AirBnB in Reykjavik. We'll recommend this tour to all our friends

Great itinerary with excellent service from the office staff Tryggvi and the tour guide David. Tryggvi had been providing prompt and detailed information about the tour. He had answered all our questions and confirmed everything for us before the tour started. David was a 10+ tour guide, not only doing the standard itinerary professionally but also added a few extra points of interests for our tour. He re-arranged the itinerary perfectly to avoid the bad weather. We had learned a lot about Iceland, volcanoes, glaciers, lave rocks and moss, etc from him. Everyone in our group have had an excellent time. We highly recommend joining this tour.

Absolutely amazing!!

This tour was amazing - really well organised and covered all the main sights you should see in Iceland in 3 days!! The tour guides were all really friendly, informative and spoke good English. The guide I had for the majority of the tour, Marek, was great fun. The glacier hike, black sands beach and lagoon boat ride were particular highlights for me. The guesthouse you stay at during the 2 nights was really lovely. I thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone - I travelled solo and still loved it!!

Amazing sights

We had a wonderful time during this tour. We saw so much, the golden circle area and pretty much the whole south coast. The glacier hike was a lot of fun, and the last day on the boat close enough to touch icebergs might have been our favorite! We were a total of 8 to 10 people so it felt very private, and our driver, Mika, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We were at first a bit nervous about staying in a hostel (we hadn't done that in years) but our fears were quickly put to rest. The owners/managers of the hostel were some of the kindest people we encountered. The rooms were simple but very clean, and the communal area was a good spot to share our experiences with other travelers. Our son is going to Iceland soon and he already booked the same tour! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Impressive Journal

One of the best memories in Europe. Here I would like to acknowledges the guides and drives from NiceTravel. There are four guides during the whole journey and everyone of them is nice, professional and responsible. The bus is comfortable and the whole journey is perfect. The driving time of the third day is relatively long. Maybe it would be better if we make some modifications of the schedule of the last two days.

Great tour!

This was a great way to get an overview of Iceland's many natural wonders in a few days. All of our guides -- Addi, Artni, Jaka, were knowledgeable and approachable. Lucia made us feel very welcome at the guesthouse. We were a but concerned about the glacier hike, but Jaka did a great job of watching out for us and making sure we were safe.

Great Value and Fantastic Trip

My husband and I truly enjoyed this 3 day guided tour of Iceland. We enjoyed our fellow travelers from Australia, China, and Japan. Our guide did a fantastic job guiding, leading the glacier hike and driving! He shared a lot of information about Iceland and area highlights.. Guest house was clean and comfortable. Very welcoming. I brought flip flops to wear indoors. We were so happy to see so many of the highlights of Iceland. Boat trip and glacier walk were special. Great value!

Most amazing tour ever!

This tour was simply amazing! Thanks to our brilliant guides Lucia and David who made the trip one unique experience, we had the most wunderful time ever! The two were very professional, we felt safe at all times , and they had an answer to every question, no matter if geological phenomenons or trolls and elfs were involved! David was a very secure driver and Lucia answered all the questions and gave us an insight into Iceland's history. They were a good team who work hand in hand always with a smile on their faces and created a welcoming atmosphere. The 3day tour was perfect because it covered most sights in the south and some very special events such as the glacier hike or the boat trip on the glacier lagoon were even included. The guesthouse was clean and cosy and offered an amazing breakfast which even had lots of vegetarian and vegan options. My special thanks goes to Peter who acted immediately and quickly when I had a special request! Thanks very much, Peter, you were a life saver! Great to meeting you all, Vera&Natalie

Absolute Must for your Iceland Adventure

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The tour was organized well, we always had enough time to see the amazing sights. The landscape of Iceland is breathtaking and was made truly special by our tour guides, Lucia and Davide. Both are genuine, knowledgable and warm people whose energy is containgious. The overnight stays were in a very nice hostel with good food and a pleasant staff. It is hard to pick a single highlight. The glacier hike and waterfalls will amaze you. Bring a camera and a water proof jacket!

A must!

We had an amazing time. We didn't plan a long trip to Iceland and wanted to see as much as possible. This was a great way. Lots of sights and enough time at each to really enjoy them. Very knowledgeable guide and we got to visit some hidden gems. Bring a rain coat for the trips behind the waterfall and the pop up rain shower. Our stay at the Hostel was so perfect. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good food and friendly hosts. We loved every minute!

If you're hesitating .... don't!

Iceland Review - Nice Travel - August 2017 WOW, what an amazing tour! (Despite the challenging weather) .... Day 1 starting from Reykjavik takes you to all the standard Golden Circle places, including a walk through the American and European/Asian tectonic plates in the Þingvellir National Park, the iconic Gullfoss waterfall; the Geysir Geothermal Areais (home to the rare and spectacular phenomenon of geysers; and last but not least, Kerið - the volcanic crater lake. It's not that these aren't interesting, they are, but the route is covered by all the tour operators so plenty of tourists! Its the next two days that really bring the tour to life! Day 2 is full-on, an activity packed day hiking, climbing under, in, and above amazing waterfalls (getting drenched), stunning scenery (despite the weather), climbing a glacier, and finishing with a black beach with basalt columns which were the inspiration for Reykjavic's Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral. Day 3 is a long driving day today but worth it to get to south east Iceland. Heading to The Glacier Lagoon & a fabulous amphibian boat tour (where we sampled a piece of 1,000 year old ice), we had a great history lesson, visited the cloud-like lava fields, drove around the base of Vatnajökull (Iceland largest glacier @ 10% of the country's surface), & walked the black beach - anyone fancy swimming at a beach where the shore is covered with huge chunks of ice broken off the glacier? On the return journey we hiked up a trail of the glacier in the Skaftagell National park before stopping off in the pretty little village of Vik. This is a fabulous 3 day tour that makes you feel like you've been away for a week - thank you Iceland &, in particular, Lucia and David of Nice Travel tours, Lucia was a mindful of knowledge and David's driving was great. The history and scenery were amazing but these two made it enjoyable and so much more. If your contemplating this tour, go for it, absolutely worth it!

This was an amazing Trip! Our driver, Valli, was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved him! We had just enough time at each stop to really take everything in felt like we go to see so much. The guest house was very clean, including the bathrooms! The rooms were quiet when it was time to sleep. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was tasty. If you're debating whether to do a 3-day versus several 1-day trips, I highly recommend the 3-day. Everyone we spoke with who did the 1-day said they didn't get to see and do as much as we did.

This tour was fantastic! Valli, our tour guide, was not only informative, friendly and accommodating but so much fun! The decision to do a 3 day tour over multiple 1 day was perfect. Valli helped us stay on track so we could see as much as possible in the 3 days. The guest house was clean and the folks there were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Felt like family. Don't miss out on this tour, you won't be sorry. I didn't want the 3 days to end.

3 Day Tour To Jokulsarlon | The Golden Circle, South Coast, Glacier Hike & Jokulsarlon Boat Tour

I had a wonderful time. This was a well organized tour and the sights were incredible. The only criticism during the first day was a lunch stop at a grossly overpriced restaurant complex ( $28 CAD for a bowl of soup). Days 2 and 3 were just perfect. A special thanks to the tour guides, Lucia and Davide, very genuine, warm and knowledgable individuals with a wonderful sense of humour. It is so great that this tour has a maximum capacity of 15 people, making the travel logistics very simple. The ride was comfortable and the overnight stays were in a clean hostel where one could sample locallly prepared homemade soup ( at a very reasonable price;). The highlight for me was the glacier hike but truly, every stop made on this tour was beautiful so bring a camera!

Great quality & price to performance trip

I can highly recommend this trip: - Owing that Iceland is one of the most expensive place on Earth this 3 days event really does represent good value, - All guides/drivers are very professional, well-mannered and on-time, - Food/meal stops are very adequate and also presenting good value and quality, - Two nights you will spent in very cosy hostel/guest-house in Seljaland. Few tips: ask your driver to give you some time in the grocery (Bonus is the best). Buy there a beer or other drinks as they only serve Lamb Soup (delicious) costing 1000IKR and some pizzas. Take some slippers or something, as there is “we leave shoes at the door†policy there. Accommodation is really good with nice people and cool welcome cake each evening, - I am sure that in case we had a car and tried touring on our own, we would missed most the places we visited with the guys from Nice Travel.
