Situated in a prime location in Reykjavik, Guesthouse Sunna is just a stone’s throw from the iconic Hallgrimskirkja church. This area is within a zone restricted to commercial traffic, meaning tour companies cannot pick up guests directly from the guesthouse. Instead, visitors must proceed to the designated meeting point set by the city of Reykjavik. This requirement applies to all travelers embarking on tours in Iceland, whether you’re joining a day tour or indulging in an extensive holiday tour package.
For guests staying at Guesthouse Sunna, the nearest meeting point is Bus Stop 8, conveniently located on the right-hand side when facing the front door of Hallgrimskirkja church. Hallgrimskirkja is one of Reykjavik’s most recognizable landmarks, its concrete tower soaring impressively into the sky, reminiscent of a rocket. Perched atop a small hill, it offers a stunning view of the city from its viewing deck, a must-visit for any traveler. The walk from the guesthouse to this meeting point takes just 2 minutes when walking.
Tour pick-up begins 30 minutes before departure, and it typically takes around 30 minutes to gather all participants as we make our way out of the city to start our tours in Iceland. To help you find your way to the meeting point, simply follow the path to Hallgrimskirkja, and you’ll be ready to embark on your journey.
