Tour Highlights

Enjoy delightful dips at two of Iceland’s famous geothermal spas and explore the wonders of the Golden Circle, the Snæfellsnes peninsula, and West Iceland!

Come with us on a relaxing 3-day tour of Iceland’s most famous sights on the Golden Circle, the serene Snæfellsnes peninsula, and the mysterious Viking heartlands of West Iceland. You’ll be treated to one mesmerizing sight after another, including gushing geysers, brooding volcanoes, thundering waterfalls, impressive black sand beaches, and majestic mountains.

Sit back and enjoy the dreamy views as we explore Iceland’s spectacular natural landscapes in our comfortable Mercedes coaches, your guarantee of comfort and relaxation.

On the first day, you’ll visit Þingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall, and the Kerið volcanic crater. Then, you’ll finish the day with the heavenly experience of relaxing in the warming waters of the world-famous Blue Lagoon (admission included).

After an overnight stay in the capital, we’ll head west to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula, known as “Iceland in Miniature,” because its finest features can be seen here. It’s a relaxing ride around a picturesque peninsula featuring Kirkjufell, one of the most famous mountains in Iceland! We’ll stay overnight in Borgarnes.

The third day will be spent exploring Borgarfjörður, where you’ll see powerful hot springs, mighty waterfalls, and the historical Viking sites at Reykholt and Húsafell. The best way to end a memorable journey like this is to relax like a Viking would! So, we’ll take you to Húsafell Canyon Baths, where you can soothe yourself in the warming waters of an authentic Icelandic hot pot, just like they did!

Your 3-day discovery of Iceland’s most memorable experiences begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in the capital and a short road trip to the Golden Circle. These are the most popular sights in Iceland, including the astonishing view of tectonic plates splitting along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge at Þingvellir National Park, the “original gusher” at Geysir, and the gorgeous “Golden Falls” at Gullfoss.

Þingvellir is where the early Vikings gathered for summer festivals and made their laws. It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site too. Standing between two continents is a rare experience, but you can do that here!

Geysir and Gullfoss will both thrill you with their raw power. Soaring fountains of superheated water shooting into the air can be seen every few minutes at Geysir. Then, just a few minutes further inland, you’ll be astounded by the thundering waters crashing over 30 meters down a two-tiered waterfall into the canyon at Gullfoss.

After seeing all that glacial meltwater, and a photo stop at the colorful volcanic crater at Kerið, it’s time for you to experience one of the 25 Wonders of the World at the Blue Lagoon. Some call this iconic spot the “ultimate spa experience,” where you can relax in warm, soothing waters in the heart of an otherworldly volcanic landscape.

Enjoy the radiant powers of the geothermally heated waters and feel rejuvenated! The Blue Lagoon is a bucket-list location, a serene haven of calm, and it’s the ideal way to unwind after your first day of exploring Iceland’s marvels.

We’ll return to Reykjavík for an overnight stay.

The Snæfellsnes peninsula inspired Jules Verne’s “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” and you’ll soon see why!

Often called “Iceland in Miniature,” this 100-kilometer peninsula is home to Iceland’s finest features. That includes glacier-capped volcanoes, towering basalt columns, magnificent mountains, breathtaking black sand beaches, and much more!

First, you’ll have a chance to see a seal colony on the golden sand beaches at Ytri-Tunga. Then you can enjoy a refreshing clifftop walk to the tremendous moss-covered Gatklettur volcanic rock arch at Arnarstapi.

As well as that, you’ll see the iconic Black Church at Búðakirkja. People come from all over the world to get married here!

Just a little further on, you’ll be amazed by the sight of the jagged 70-meter-high basalt columns standing firm against the Atlantic at Lóndrangar. Then you’ll wander the black volcanic sands of Djúpalónssandur, where you’ll see the famous “lifting stones” used to test the strength of the locals before fishing trips left from these shores.

Circling the gigantic glacier-capped volcano that gives “Snow Mountain Peninsula” its name, we’ll go to the most famous place here.

Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) is one of the most photographed peaks in Iceland, famous for its unusual triangular shape and featuring in many TV shows like “Game of Thrones” and Hollywood films. We’ll bring you here to get the iconic shot you want for your photo albums!

We’ll stay overnight in Borgarnes, the gateway to West Iceland.

OVERNIGHT STAY AT BORGARNES - The Capital of West Iceland

Day 3 | Hot Spring Heaven on the Silver Circle of West Iceland

The Silver Circle takes you through the Viking heartlands of Borgarfjörður, a place rich in Icelandic history and tradition.

We’ll stop for photos at the lovely waterfall at Glanni before making our way to Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe! Clouds of billowing steam vapor hang in the air, the source of hot water and heat for the whole region! Then we’ll visit Reykholt, the 13th-century home of Snorri Sturluson, a local chieftain who recorded early Icelandic history and Saga tales here. As well as seeing his story and the lovely church here, you can visit his personal hotpot, too, called Snorralaug!

Further inland, you’ll see Hraunfossar and Barnafoss, two impressive waterfalls with very different features! Hraunfossar (Lava Falls) emerges from the middle of a lava cliff face rather than from the top, extending as far as the eye can see! Barnafoss is a mighty torrent of water crashing through the canyon with a sad story connected – ask your guide if you want to know more!

After all this exploring, you might want to relax, so we have the perfect solution for you – the Húsafell Canyon Baths! Húsafell is a beautiful wooded oasis between two glaciers, and it takes a 4WD vehicle to reach the Canyon Baths. On the way, you’ll enjoy the spectacular view of Langifoss, a two-tiered waterfall plunging into the canyon.

Then you will finish your 3-day tour relaxing just like Snorri and the Vikings did centuries ago in an authentic stone-walled hot pot. It’s hidden away in a peaceful, secluded spot with fewer than twenty other visitors. What better way to end your day than this – soaking serenely in the warming waters with the most marvelous view you could ever imagine?

You’ll return to the capital from here, relaxed and rejuvenated after an unforgettable adventure!
